[Beijing, China, December 15, 2023] The "Operating System Conference&openEuler Summit 2023" with the theme of "Rising the Digital Age, Leading the Future of Digital Intelligence" was held in Beijing. Huawei, together with CITIC Bank Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CITIC Bank"), built on the Kirin V10 operating system, successfully won the "Leading Business Practice" award jointly issued by the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center and OpenAtom openEuler Community at the conference, demonstrating the autonomy of both sides in basic software technology progressiveness in the field of innovation.

In 2023, Huawei and CITIC Bank established a joint innovation laboratory for financial digitalization, creating a financial digitalization innovation incubation center. They also adhered to the principle of leading by example in the field of independent innovation in financial technology, focused on key digital challenges in the financial industry, and carried out joint research and development. They successfully launched the first technology joint innovation project - eBPF to enhance cloud native data. EBPF, as a programmable technology that has emerged in recent years in the Linux kernel, supports custom adjustment of kernel execution logic without rebuilding the kernel. China CITIC Bank, in collaboration with Huawei's Kmesh open-source project, has collaborated with a team of experts to integrate traffic management into the OS (Operating System), achieving multi hop and one hop traffic paths. By utilizing eBPF, China CITIC Bank's cloud native grid data capabilities are further enhanced, accelerating network communication, reducing communication noise, and improving system performance.

In order to apply cloud native technology to business digital transformation, the Financial Digitalization Joint Innovation Laboratory coordinates with experts from CITIC Bank Software Development Center, Huawei Digital Finance Corps, Huawei 2012 Laboratory, and the OpenEuler community to enhance eBPF's innovation in cloud native data:

• High performance: Based on sockmap and L4/L7 traffic management, OS offloading is implemented to achieve multi hop and one hop service grid communication. Combined with current scenarios such as connected transactions, stage verification is completed within CITIC Bank, with an average forwarding delay reduced by 23%;

• Ecological compatibility: Supports XDS protocol, compatible with industry Istio and other service grid ecosystems;

• Application transparency: No need for application adaptation perception, automatically taking over traffic between services;

• Security isolation: Implementing core level security for governance logic based on eBPF, completing governance with flow can achieve cgroup level orchestration isolation;

• Low load observation: Combined with the openEuler community gala gopher project, a low load grid observation base is implemented based on eBPF, with an average CPU overhead of less than 5% for observing bottom noise.

Waves form among the gentle waves. The eBPF enhanced cloud native data platform created by Huawei in collaboration with CITIC Bank has accumulated rich experience in independent innovation of basic software technology in the financial industry, built a key technological foundation, and crossed the ecological turning point of the technology route through open source and collaborative construction. Looking towards the future, Huawei will work together with CITIC Bank to continue promoting financial technology innovation, jointly building a solid software foundation for digital new infrastructure, promoting continuous innovation in basic software technology, and accelerating the digital and intelligent development of finance.
